Just spent an hour or more trying to figure out how to reset the administration password on a Lacie backup network drive, the Lacie website was useless, eventually found a forum post by someone who had suffered the same ‘lost password’ issue, so incase it helps someone else – heres the ‘how to rest admin password for Lacie network drive to a factory default reset’..
To fix it try the following:
1. Turn NAS power switch to off position.
2. Unplug power cord. Wait for harddisk to spin down.
3. Plug power back in.
4. Turn on NAS power switch, within 2 secs turn back off, then immediately back on. (basically making it do a factory reset again)
This should return your Lacie Networkspace to a factory default working condition again, with the password reset to admin / admin.
